After high school Bona and his older brother experimented on setting up a small production house focus on making documentary projects for social NGOs. His love for storytelling increases exponentially along his stay in a richly cultured city of Jogjakarta, Indonesia.  He then earn a diploma in film directing and screenwriting from SouthSeas Film and Television School, Auckland, New Zealand (2006). HIS directing career started with a short film and won Best Young Film Director In Indonesia (2008). Since then he has worked for various production and won numerous awards in advertising such as Citra Pariwara (Indonesia) One Show (New York), Cannes Lions (France) , Spikes ASIA (Singapore), Adfest (Thailand). His music video for Stars and Rabbit also awarded multiple times from places like Canada, Hongkong, Colombia and USA. Recently he did another music video for the same band that was nominated at UK Music Video Award (2017).

His dream is to one day cross over to feature film.
